GEORGETOWN, KY (WSFA) - The Faulkner Eagles dropped to 2-2 on Saturday after falling to the Georgetown Tigers 35-21 in Georgetown, Kentucky.
The Eagles outgained the Tigers 439 yards to 327, but Faulkner also committed four turnovers compared to the two that Georgetown committed.
Faulkner's Clayton Nicholas completed 28 passes on 43 attempts for 255 yards and three touchdowns, by Nicholas also had three interceptions.
Backup quarterback Jordan Aubrey attempted just one pass on Saturday, and it was intercepted by the Georgetown defense.
Rob Lockhart led the Eagles in the receiving column, recording 100 yards and a touchdown on six receptions. Jonathan McNair also had a touchdown and recorded 67 yards on eight receptions.
Running back Joe Jones led the rushing attack, picking up 94 yards on 10 carries. Trent Miles also had 10 carries and recorded 64 yards.
The Eagles were 8-for-18 on third-down conversions and failed to convert on three fourth-down attempts.
Faulkner also had 119 penalty yards on nine penalties.
The Eagles are back in action on Oct. 1 when they take on Campbellsville.
