MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) - While we've had tastes of Fall over the last month or so, it just hasn't been able to stick around for more than a few days. Continued sunshine Tuesday will allow for another afternoon of unseasonable warmth. Our next cold front is set to approach Thursday, but we're not overly excited about this one...
TODAY: Montgomery's record high this afternoon is 88 set in 1931. I don't think we beat it, but we'll be in the ballpark. Highs in the middle 80s will be a solid ten degrees above normal for late October. Don't expect any rain today.
Game 1 of the World Series kicks off in Cleveland tonight. While there won't be any snow, there will be plenty of cold. Temperatures in the 40s will make the Fall Classic feel very Fall-like. You have to figure with Cleveland & Chicago being the host towns, you weren't going to have any tropical games.
COLD FRONT: A few clouds will stream in later Wednesday in advance of our next frontal boundary. This appears to be another dud in the rain department with highest rain chances remaining to our north. Can't rule out an isolated shower, but it's hard to imagine anything more than that.
The front washes out and we miss the boat, so the updated drought monitor will again show a worsening of drought conditions.
As the front loses it's identity, temperatures warm again late week into the weekend.
