MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) - As I type this, a cold front is sweeping southward through the viewing area. A few (very lucky) locations were able to sneak in a handful of raindrops this morning, but this is otherwise a dry front. Cooler air starts to filter in tonight and into the weekend, setting the stage for a fantastic first weekend of November...
TODAY: Expect sunshine to return once the front clears, and our afternoon won't be a whole lot different than the last few days. The difference in temperatures will be minimal today (lower 80s versus upper 80s), but you'll really start to notice the difference tonight.
Late evening temperatures for the Alabama National Fair, Peanut Festival & Friday Night Fever games will fall into the 60s on their way to upper 40s and lower 50s by early tomorrow morning.
THIS WEEKEND: Highs will fail to climb out of the 70s this weekend as continued sunshine makes for a great outdoor forecast.
Don't forget to set those clocks back an hour this weekend!
We could stay below 80 degrees for much of next week as continued dry weather persists through at least Wednesday. Models suggest the chance for measurable rain could return later next week, but the details in that possibility remain somewhat murky at this early stage. Keep those fingers crossed!
