MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) - What a mess of a morning we've had. Thick fog blanketed much of central Alabama, slowing commuters and likely playing a roll in several accidents. Thick fog often takes awhile to erode away, but it's pretty much all gone now. We have a beautiful day ahead as warmer air starts to creep back into the forecast...
TODAY: Fog gives way to sunshine, and there will be plenty of it to go around. High temperatures in the middle and upper 70s will make for a pleasant afternoon.
LOOKING AHEAD: Highs into the lower 80s will be possible tomorrow and Friday with continued mainly sunny skies. Our next big weather maker will come in the form of a cold front sliding through early Saturday. Rain will be fading as it approaches with the front from the west, and it appears unlikely there will be much left by the time it gets here.
A much cooler airmass establishes itself for the weekend with highs in the 60s and overnight lows falling into the 30s.
