MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) - The Montgomery Police Department says Christopher Gilcrest, who was wanted in connection to a shooting, was taken into custody by U.S. Marshals Monday.
According to officials, the 33-year-old is charged with two counts of felony assault in the second-degree following the shooting that took place in the 4700 block of Highland Ave.
According to officials, two adult males sustained non-life threatening gunshot wounds. The initial investigation indicated that the shooting was the result of an ongoing dispute between Gilcrest and one of the victims. The second victim sustained a gunshot wound when he attempted to break up the altercation.
Gilcrest was transported to the Montgomery County Detention facility where he was being held under bonds totaling $30,000.
