DOTHAN, AL (WSFA) - The National Trial Lawyers, a national legal trade organization, has added a Montgomery lawyer to its Top 40 Under 40 membership. Joe Hubbard of the Joe Hubbard Law Firm was selected for membership in the group, which is limited to 40 top lawyers per state under the age of 40.
According to the association, membership is by invitation. Lawyers are first nominated by their peers and then researched by a third party. "It is an honor given to only a select group of lawyers for their superior skills and qualifications in the field," said a statement from the organization.
Hubbard's Montgomery law firm specializes in business litigation, consumer fraud, personal injury and wrongful death. He says he takes pride in the personal service offered to his clients.
"The legal market has long been dominated by over sized, cumbersome law firms with rigid billing practices and inaccessible lawyers," he said. "We understand that serious cases require serious attention from start to finish."
In 2015, Hubbard represented the parents of children who were hospitalized after falling ill at a Montgomery daycare center. The high-profile case garnered widespread media coverage. His clients were ultimately awarded a settlement of nearly $1 million.
In addition to his legal career, Hubbard has also pursued political aspirations. He previously served for four years in the Alabama legislature and later ran for the democratic nomination for attorney general.
