MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) - BOSTON is headed to play in the capital city as a part of their Hyper Space Tour, officials with the Montgomery Performing Arts Center announced on Monday.
According to MPAC officials, the concert will take place on May 7 at 7:30 p.m. with doors opening at 6 p.m. This concert will happen ahead of the band's summer tour with Joan Jett.
It has been 40 years since BOSTON's self-titled debut album first hit the airwaves. Over 17 million copies of that debut album have been sold featuring hits like, "More Than a Feeling," "Peace of Mind," and "Smokin," according to officials.
"Always a huge crowd pleaser with their high-energy stage show, other-worldly sound, and exceptional musicianship, BOSTON prides itself on performing a totally live show, delivering an extraordinary experience that is faithful to their studio recordings." officials with MPAC said in a release.
Tickets will go on sale Friday, March 17 at 10 a.m. You can purchase tickets online at ticketmaster.com, the MPAC box office, or by phone at 800-745-3000. All seats are reserved and tickets range from $81 to $129, plus applicable fees and service charges.
Continuing their effort to promote humane treatment of animals, one dollar from each ticket purchased this summer will be donated to Sea Shepherd Conservation Society, who are committed to ending the slaughter of wildlife in the world's oceans, as well as Mercy for Animals, who utilize a broad range of strategic approaches that seek to expose cruelty, prosecute abusers, and inspire consumers to make compassionate food choices.
