Amanda: Quiet and warm by April standards

MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA)

High pressure is still hanging around the Southeast as of this morning, so it is continuing to dominate our overall weather pattern here in Alabama (just like it did this weekend). Besides a few clouds being added into the mix, not a whole lot is different from what we experienced on Saturday and Sunday… it is still very much comfortable and temperatures will likely heat up into the low 80s for many with some mid 80s possible in the normal warmer spots located in south Alabama.

To give you some perspective, average highs for this time of year normally run close to 75° in Montgomery; while we are not overly warm by April standards, we are running a few degrees above normal. We are not hearing a whole lot of complaints about it, so it seems to me that y’all are loving this weather so far!!
As we head into our evening, we remain quiet and calm as a southerly breeze starts to bring some more moisture back into our atmosphere… as dew points continue to rise, overnight lows won’t be as cool as they have been; we stay mild tonight in the 50s for almost everyone in our neck of the woods.
By tomorrow morning, a few more clouds will be noticeable. This is all ahead of an approaching front that is moving in from the north and west. This boundary looks to stall out before it can make a huge impact on our weather. A few isolated areas of rain or even a small storm or two is possible, but many will likely go through the day on Wednesday without seeing any rain.

No severe weather is expected and we head back to quiet conditions through our Easter weekend… this forecast definitely gets two thumbs up in our book!!
