Man accused of shooting into occupied vehicle

MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) - A Montgomery man has been charged with discharging a firearm into an occupied vehicle, according to the Montgomery Police Department.

Court documents say, Montavias Shanard Ware, 22, shot into the front windshield of an occupied vehicle. No one was injured, according to Capt. Regina Duckett.

The incident happened June 17 in the 3300 Block of Brookwood Drive at approximately 2:45 a.m.

The cause of the shooting is unknown, but the shot caused an undetermined amount of damage to the vehicle, court documents say.

Ware was taken into custody shortly after the shooting occurred and taken to the Montgomery County Detention Facility. His bond has been set at $30,000.
