GREENVILLE, AL (WSFA) - Four suspects, including two 14-year-olds, have been charged in an April home invasion, according to the Greenville Police Department.

According to Greenville investigators, along with the 14-year-old suspects, a 17-year-old suspect, and 18-year-old Chance Morris have been charged with robbery and burglary first-degree.

Police say the home invasion began when the victim heard a knock at his back door. When the victim answered the door, four suspects appeared wearing masks and armed with a handgun. The suspects forced their way into the residence and took a small amount of cash and the victim's car keys.

Police say the suspects then fled the residence in the victim's vehicle. The vehicle was later located about a mile away from the residence in an abandoned lot.

Investigators were able to identify all four suspects following a two-month investigation, according to Greenville officials.

Investigators say they have petitioned the court to adjudicate the 17-year-old suspect and order him to be charged as an adult.
