MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) - The Grammy-nominated Christian pop/rock band Newsboys will kick off a nationwide tour right here in Montgomery this fall.

Venue officials announced Tuesday that the band will perform at Garrett Coliseum on Thursday, Sept. 21 at 7 p.m. The concert will also be the start of the band's Big Church Night Out Tour.

Newsboys will be headlining a show that will also feature recording artists Sidewalk Prophets, 7eventh Time Down, Derek Minor, Blanca, Adam Agee from Audio Adrenaline, illusionist Brock Gill, worship leader Jamison Strain and Jeremy Willet.

Ahead of the tour, tour organizers have taken over Pandora's Christian Contemporary station through Thursday, offering pre-sale deals to listeners as well as interviews with Newsboys front man Michael Tait.

"When families, friends, and neighbors take time out of their busy lives to come together and join as one in worship, that is the church," Tait said. "That is the makings of one big night, and we could not be more thrilled to be a part of it."

Currently, the tour is offering two free tickets to groups of 10 or more attendees. Tickets for the event are available at Premier Productions website.
