LOWNDES COUNTY, AL (WSFA) - A woman has been arrested in connection to a shooting and robbery at a Marathon gas station in Lowndes County, according to the Lowndes County Sheriff's office.

Sheriff John Williams confirmed Katrina Latrese Owens, 40, of Montgomery, was arrested by Alabama Law Enforcement State Bureau Investigation special agents, with assistance from the Lowndes County Sheriff's Office. She has been charged with first-degree robbery.

Owens was taken to the Lowndes County Jail under a $500,000 bond.

On June 12, officials responded to the scene at a gas station off U.S. Highway 80 East. According to Williams, an employee was shot and airlifted to a hospital. The victim, identified as Samir Patel, remains in critical condition.

On June 20, the Lowndes County Sheriff's Office confirmed one suspect, Dorther Alexander Rogers, was in custody, while three others were still being sought. Rogers was charged with first-degree robbery and was being held at the county jail.

According to court documents, Rogers had access to the getaway vehicle and her cell phone was "pinged" in the immediate area before, during, and after the robbery.

Agents expect to make other arrests in connection to this case. They are still looking for an unidentified woman caught on surveillance video. She is wanted for questioning.
