AUTAUGA CO., AL (WSFA) - A Prattville man has pleaded guilty to murder charges after a two-vehicle wreck in 2016 left a woman dead.
According to court documents, Bob Curry, 64, pleaded guilty to charges of reckless murder and leaving the scene of an accident with injury.
Alabama Law Enforcement Agency officials say Dannette McKinney, 53, was killed when the 2016 Nissan Versa, in which she was a passenger, was struck by a 2003 Chevrolet Tahoe driven by Curry. McKinney was pronounced dead at the scene.
Troopers say the preliminary investigation indicated alcohol was a factor in the wreck. Court documents show Curry had a 0.09 BAC almost nine hours after the crash.
A probation hearing and sentencing has been set for August 16.
