CAMP HILL, AL (WSFA) - A Tallapoosa County man was arrested for selling alcohol illegally out of a home in Camp Hill, according to the sheriff's Office.
Tommy Lee Evans, a 60-year-old resident of Camp Hill who is also known as Sweet Daddy Soul, was arrested after the Tallapoosa County Narcotics Task Force and Alabama Alcoholic Beverage Control Board Enforcement executed a search warrant and seized a large quantity of alcohol from the home.
Authorities believe Evans was operating a "shot house," which is an illegal bar.
Investigators also found roughly four grams of marijuana, a .38 caliber handgun and drug paraphernalia at Evans' home.
Evans is now facing charges of second degree possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, selling liquor without a license, possession of alcohol for sale and failure to obtain tobacco permit.
Camp Hill was one of the first cities in the county to allow the sale of alcohol on Sundays.
