Police look for suspect in connection to Millbrook shooting

MILLBROOK, AL (WSFA) - Millbrook police are looking for one suspect in connection to a shooting that happened Thursday afternoon.

Police are looking for Kendrick Trayvaun Williams, 22, of Millbrook. According to Chief P.K. Johnson, the Millbrook Police Department was contacted at around 3:30 p.m. about a patient at Prattville Baptist being treated for multiple gunshot wounds to his lower extremities.

The victim, identified as Bobby L. Pernell Jr., 40, of Millbrook says he and an acquaintance, later identified as Williams, were arguing in the 3000 block of Duncan Drive at around 1:30 p.m. He says during the argument Williams took out a handgun and shot Pernell once in each leg.

Pernell was taken to Prattville Baptist by private vehicle. He was then transferred to the Baptist South Emergency Room, where he was treated for his injuries then released.

Millbrook detectives obtained a felony arrest warrant for Williams for assault in the second degree. He is about 5-foot-9 and 150 to 160 pounds. Anyone who knows of his whereabouts should call the Millbrook Police Department at 285-6832.
