AUBURN, AL (WSFA) - An Auburn man is being held in the Lee County Jail on a $6,000 bond after authorities arrested him Saturday.

Alan Andrew Jacobs is accused of burglarizing a residence in the 1200 block of S. College Street on Saturday afternoon. He is charged with second degree burglary and fourth degree theft of property after stealing the key fob to the homeowner's Lexus IS200, according to the Auburn Police Division.

Police say the homeowner returned home just in time to catch Jacobs in the parking lot, attempting to unlock the car. He immediately called police, who detained Jacobs at the scene.
