River Falls, Covington County authorities investigate 2 business burglaries

COVINGTON COUNTY, AL (WSFA) - The River Falls Police Department and the Covington County Sheriff's Office are investigating after two businesses were burglarized.

On Sunday, officers and deputies responded to the Gitty Up N Go convenience store in River Falls in reference to a business alarm. Once there, officers saw someone had broken in an stolen cash, while also causing damage to business equipment. Surveillance video showed two men wearing masks enter the building, as well as at least a third suspect operating a vehicle to flee the scene.

After the first burglary, the Carolina Grocery on U.S. 29 South of Andalusia was burglarized. Authorities believe the two burglaries to be related.
