AL man charged after drugs, guns found inside home

HEADLAND, AL (WSFA) - A Headland man is facing trafficking charges after officers found marijuana, ecstasy and other illegal prescription drugs inside his home.

Headland Police say Michael Joseph Stefanson, 30, is charged with trafficking in marijuana, unlawful possession of controlled substance and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.

The charges are related to a search by the Headland SWAT team and other officers in the 300 block of Alice Drive around 3:40 p.m. Friday. During the search of the residence, officers found about 3.5 pounds of marijuana, ecstasy, illegal prescription drugs, drug paraphernalia, weapons, and cash.

Stefanson was taken into custody and transported to the Henry County Jail under a total bond of $166,000.
