Pedestrian dies in single-vehicle crash Tuesday

AUTAUGA CO., AL (WSFA) - Alabama Law Enforcement Agency officials are working to find out what led to a crash that left one person dead Tuesday morning.

Cpl. Jess Thornton confirms the crash happened on County Road 165 near Hwy. 82 and the Jupiter Inn, about seven miles west of Prattville. At 5:30 a.m., Jacob Gorley of Prattville was hit by a 1998 Ford Crown Victoria as he was walking on the roadway. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the Ford remained at the scene. ALEA officials continue to investigate.
