MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) - Montgomery police have made an arrest in the Sunday morning Bragg Street shooting of 23-year-old Marcus Cooley.

Curtis London, 29, of Montgomery has been arrested and charged with capital murder says Cpt. Regina Duckett.

It was around 3:30 a.m. Sunday when both the Montgomery Police Department and Fire Medics responded to a subject shot in the 1200 block of Bragg Street. Upon arrival, authorities found Cooley, who had sustained a fatal gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene.

After investigation Duckett says it was concluded that Cooley was shot from gunfire that entered the residence.

Duckett says London turned himself in to MPD detectives Monday evening and was transported to the Montgomery County Detention Facility where he is being held without bond.

This shooting is only one of a string of shootings that took place in Montgomery over the weekend.
