Police said Gregory Scott worked at a mental health center in Selma. His death is being called a suicide.

Carrie Bearden, executive director with Cahaba Mental Health Services, said Gregory Scott was a social worker at the facility.

According to court records, the Mary Elizabeth and Gregory Scott married in April 2013 and divorced earlier in November. Custody of the children was given to the mother.
