DOTHAN, AL (WSFA) - The neighborhood watch has never been as effective as it was in Dothan on Tuesday, according to police.

The Dothan Police Department asked the community for assistance in locating Leroy Bryant, a man who was wanted for drug-trafficking among other charges, and the community was able to deliver.

Within 24 hours of asking for help, the DPD reported that they received valuable information from various citizens that lead to the arrest of Bryant. During his arrest, investigators seized approximately $20,000 in U.S. currency, numerous counterfeit bills and a street value of approximately $40,000 of narcotics.

Bryan was charged with drug trafficking, three counts of unlawful possession of a controlled substance, possession of a short-barreled shotgun, and thirteen counts of possession of a forged instrument first degree.

Bryant was transported to the Houston County Jail under a $645,000 bond.
