Authorities asking for help in finding Macon County fugitive

MACON COUNTY, AL (WSFA) - The Macon County Sheriff's Office is asking for help in finding a man who fled authorities.

By fleeing, Daron Christopher Martin violated the terms of his probation, which he was on for charges of second degree assault and two counts of possession of a controlled substance.

Sheriff Andre Brunson has a message for Martin, telling him to, "Surrender and get this matter behind you." He also said this case is being worked as a fugitive investigation in collaboration with the United States Marshals Service Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force.

Martin is known to frequent Macon and Montgomery communities. Anyone who knows his current whereabouts should call the police or Crimestoppers at 215-STOP.
