Police looking for car break-in victims in Prattville

MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) - The Prattville Police Department has arrested three teens and charged them with multiple counts of car break-ins.

According to police, a 17-year-old juvenile, Austin Hunter Duncan, 19, Billy Ray Meeks-Carter, 18, are all facing multiple counts of unlawful breaking and entering of a motor vehicle and multiple counts of theft of property.

On Wednesday, the three teens were arrested after police witnessed them in the act of committing numerous car break-ins in the Buena Vista neighborhood. Officers on patrol made contact with the subjects and quickly determined they were responsible for the break-ins.

During the investigation, an assorted amount of stolen property was also recovered and numerous victims were identified.

Prattville Police are asking the residents of the Buena Vista neighborhood to contact police if their vehicle was broken into last night. Officials are still working to identify some of the suspects stolen property that was recovered.

Residents are encouraged to lock their doors and not leave valuable items inside their vehicles. In addition, if someone sees something suspicious to call 911 and report the action so law enforcement can investigate.
