Homicide investigation opened after Montgomery shooting

MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) - An 18-year-old Montgomery man who was shot early Wednesday morning has died of his injuries, the Montgomery Police Department said Thursday.
Jonathan Jordan's death is being investigated as the city's 44th homicide of 2017.
MPD and Fire Medics responded to the 2000 block of Coliseum Boulevard around 1 a.m. where they found Jordan suffering serious injuries. He was transported to Baptist Medical Center South where he died Wednesday afternoon.
While Jordan was found on Coliseum Blvd. investigators believe the shooting happened in the area of North Pass Road near Alabama River Parkway. It's believed the victim was driven to Coliseum Blvd. where police were called.
The circumstances of the homicide are still unclear and no arrests have been made.
