MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) - A special event this Sunday offers River Region residents a chance to support elementary education and walk away with a unique new treasure in the process.
Holy Cross Episcopal School invites the public to purchase tickets to its upcoming 'Low Country Broil.' Guests can expect food by Jim 'N Nick's BBQ, tent activities, raffle drawings and a silent auction.
According to the school, proceeds will help to bridge the gap between actual education costs and the tuition paid by parents. The event also provides prospective students and parents a chance to tour the school's 18-acre Bell Road campus.
"At Holy Cross Episcopal School we believe the elementary experience should give every child the foundation to thrive," said Joe Hubbard, Vice Chairman of the school's board of trustees.
Organizers say the silent auction will feature antiques, collectibles, vacations, spa packages, gift certificates and more.
The event is Sunday, April 22nd. The silent auction begins at 4pm and dinner will be served at 6pm. Tent activities and raffle drawings begin at 6:30pm. Single tickets are $40 or buy a pair for $70.
Tickets can be purchased at www.holycrossmontgomery.org/lcb or by calling 334-395-8222.
