LOWNDES COUNTY, AL (WSFA) - A Letohatchee man is in custody, charged with several crimes after an alleged incident with another man, according to the Lowndes County Sheriff's Office.
Lowndes County deputies, along with the Fort Deposit Police Department, took Stanley Lee Perdue Jr. into custody after a man said Perdue shot him.
The shooting is said to have happened in the area of County Road 33 and County Road 37.
Authorities searched Perdue's home where they say they found a myriad of drugs and drug paraphernalia, $810, and a firearm.
Perdue has been charged with first-degree assault, possession with the intent to distribute a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance, first-degree possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, attempting to elude, and disorderly conduct.
According to the sheriff's office, Perdue was out on bond for unrelated charges at the time of his arrest. He is now being held at the Jon Hulett Detention Facility in Lowndes County.
