MONTGOMERY COUNTY, AL (WSFA) - An incident involving a man riding a horse and a truck driver Friday night has resulted in one death in Montgomery County.

The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office said the man was riding his horse along the 6700 block of Highway 94 in Ramer when a truck hit the horse. The sheriff's office said the horse owner suffered a few scratches but things were worse for his horse.

Col. Jon Briggs says the horse died as a result of the incident. The driver of the truck, a Chevrolet pickup truck, was uninjured.

The sheriff's office says one lane is blocked due to the incident.
