OZARK, AL (WSFA) - A man is facing charges after police say his DNA matched the crime scene of two robberies in Ozark.
According to Ozark police, Deondre Jermaine Howard, 22, is charged with two counts of robbery first degree.
In December, police say the Microtel of Ozark was robbed at gunpoint by a lone man. The first robbery happened on Dec. 4 and the second on New Year's Eve.
During the investigation, multiple items of physical evidence were recovered. Police also recovered surveillance video of the suspect committing both crimes.
In May, investigators were notified by the Department of Forensic Sciences that a positive DNA match had come back from the crime scene evidence.
Howard was taken to the Dale County Jail under an unknown bond.
This case remains under investigation by the Ozark Police Department.
