SMITHS STATION, AL (WSFA) - Making the transition from high school to college can be difficult but Smiths Station High School senior Dalton Harrelson is making it look like a breeze.
Dalton is wrapping up his last week as a high school senior and he's definitely leaving his mark.
He found the perfect balance between academics, baseball and clubs throughout his four years in high school and now he's hoping he can keep that balance.
"I applied to the Naval Academy and I received my appointment probably about a month or two ago. So I'm excited about that, and I report for induction day on June 28. It's going to be fun. I want to major in nuclear engineering, so it's one thing that I want to do. Career? I probably might pursue something in the Navy, but we'll see," said Harrelson.
Smiths Station High School's graduation is on May 25. Dalton is graduating third in his class.
