COOSA CO., AL (WSFA) - A single-vehicle crash has claimed the life of a Maylene man, according to Alabama State Troopers.

Cpl. Jess Thorton says, James Lee Bean, 38, was killed with the 2017 Harley Davidson he was operating struck a deer before leaving the roadway. Bean was pronounced dead at the scene.

The crash happened on Alabama 22 near the 102-mile marker, just west of Alabama 9 outside of Rockford, Thornton says.

No other information is available as Alabama State Troopers continue to investigate.
