MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) - Hundreds of tractors and farm equipment moved onto the grounds of Garrett Coliseum Wednesday for what's known as the world's largest International Harvester tractor show. The "Red Power Round Up" is hosted by International Harvester, a world-wide organization that has been a major contributor to the agriculture industry and equipment since 1902.
Organizers are expecting tens of thousands of people to be in Montgomery this week to see the history of International Harvester and agriculture-related memorabilia, an impressive selection of tractors, engines, trucks and equipment, and other exhibits that include household appliances, milking equipment and toy collections.
Children's activities, a quilt show, tours and live entertainment is also available.
This is the 29th annual Red Power Round up. It moves to a different city every year. This is the first time it's ever been held in Alabama, and as far south as it's ever been.
Admission is $10 per day, or $25 for a four day pass. Kids 12 and under get in free. A complete schedule and information is at the Red Power Round Up website or by calling 334-749-4958.
