MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) - The Montgomery Fire Department responded to a house fire in the 900 block of W. Edgemont Avenue Monday afternoon.
Nobody was injured in the fire, but the fire department called in animal control to help remove animals from the property. According to Lt. Jason Cupps, four kittens were removed from the home and given oxygen and medical care. Two of the kittens passed, however, shortly after.
Firefighters were able to put out the fire, but the single-story house was heavily damaged.
