PANAMA CITY, FL (WSFA) - Three Montgomery residents are under arrest in Panama City, Florida, after allegedly stealing firearms during several car burglaries, then using those guns to commit an armed robbery.
The incident happened Sunday, according to the Bay County Sheriff's Office.
A Panama City police officer spotted the suspects' vehicle and made a traffic stop. One of the suspects, 17-year-old Leon Keshawn King, stayed in the vehicle and was taken into custody.
Two other suspects were as willing to be taken into custody, opting to bolt from the car and flee into a nearby wooded area.
Law enforcement quickly set up a perimeter and brought in air support and K9 officers.
Both suspects were taken into custody before for the morning was over and identified as Leatre Percival, 17, and Ledarius Knight, 18.
Percival was charged with grand theft of a firearm, armed burglary of a conveyance, and armed robbery.
Knight and King were charged with accessory after the fact armed robbery, armed burglary of a conveyance, and grand theft of a firearm.
An investigation is ongoing and more charges are expected.
