17-year-old charged after Elmore County gas station shooting

SLAPOUT, AL (WSFA) - A 17-year-old is charged with attempted murder after a shooting in Slapout.

According to the Elmore County Sheriff's Office, at 9:48 p.m. on Tuesday, Kelton Bozeman got out of a truck and immediately began firing into a group of people at a gas station.

Authorities say the shooting happened at a Marathon Station and the target was another juvenile; Bozeman fled the scene and was taken into custody by an Elmore County deputy. The weapon used in the shooting was found at the scene.

Bozeman's bond is set at $60,000.
