MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) - The showers and storms have stopped across most of Alabama; some scattered rain lingers to our north, up over the Tennessee Valley. Those scattered showers and storms could clip our northern counties early Friday.
Friday afternoon and evening will see several clusters of rain and thunderstorms push across the state. Some of these could be intense; frequent, deadly lightning and isolated damaging wind gusts are possible in the most intense storms.
The chance of rain will slowly diminish overnight and into the weekend - we'll go with a 30% coverage Saturday, and only a 10% coverage on Sunday. Not entirely dry, but fewer showers and storms scattered around the state.
