MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) - The search is over for a suspect wanted for the shooting death of 25-year-old Montgomery resident Timothy Martinez.
Capt. Regina Duckett says Jacab Irving, 28, is facing one count of capital murder. Irving was taken into custody by the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force and the Elmore County Sheriff's Office Friday morning.
According to Central Alabama CrimeStoppers, an anonymous tip led to Irving's arrest.
The charges are related to a shooting that took place on June 15 in the 1600 block of Dale Drive. When officers arrived on the scene they found Martinez who had been fatally shot. A second man had also been shot and was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
An investigation determined the shooting happened after an argument between multiple people. During the argument, Irving fired into the residence hitting Martinez and the other victim.
Irving was taken to the Montgomery County Detention Center where he is being held without bond.
