Second suspect charged in Montgomery shooting, robbery

MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) - A second man has been charged with a robbery and shooting in Montgomery.

Bernard Antwan Davidson, 19, is charged with one count of robbery first degree and discharging a firearm into an occupied vehicle or dwelling.

According to Capt. Regina Duckett, the charges are related to an incident that took place June 1 in the 3100 block of Gentilly Court. A victim told police he was robbed of personal property and then as he ran away, the suspects fired shots into his vehicle.

Duckett says the victim was not injured.

During the court of the investigation, Davidson was identified as a suspect. He was taken into custody on June 13.

A second suspect, Christopher Powell, 21, is also charged with one count of robbery and one count of shooting or discharging a weapon into an occupied building or vehicle.
