Elmore County home catches fire Sunday afternoon

ELMORE COUNTY, AL (WSFA) - A house in Elmore County caught fire Sunday afternoon, Wetumpka Fire Chief Greg Willis confirmed.
Willis said the Wetumpka Fire Department, assisted by the Holtville Fire Department, battled the blaze on Crenshaw Road. The fire was called in by a neighbor at 2:32 p.m.; no one was inside the home when the fire started.
Photos sent by Willis show black smoke pouring out of the home.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
