EUFAULA, AL (WSFA) - A man was arrested inside the Eufaula Police Department lobby after pulling out a handgun.
Chief Steve Watkins said that at around 4:20 p.m., a man, whose name is being withheld until the investigation is complete, entered the department lobby and spoke to the Records Clerk demanding that the police "get the noises off" of him. As officers walked in to speak with him, the man pulled the gun from the waist of his pants.

The man is charged with possession or ownership of firearm restrictions, possession of a firearm in certain places and receiving stolen property in the third degree.
A motive for the man's actions is not known at this time. The gun was checked and revealed to have been reported stolen.
