MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) - A heated argument over beer has brewed into an ice-cold case of assault in Montgomery.

Lamar Flynn, 50, is charged with second-degree assault.

According to Capt. Regina Duckett, officers were called to the 1900 block of Myles Street around 11 a.m. Wednesday. When they arrived they found the victim suffering from non-life threatening injuries.

Court documents indicate Flynn cut the victim on the right side of his head and left hand with a machete.

Duckett says the two had been arguing over beer.

Flynn was taken into custody shortly after the incident and transported to the Montgomery County Detention Facility under a $15,000 bond.
