MILLBROOK, AL (WSFA) - Millbrook police are investigating the death of a man in an RV park Wednesday.
Millbrook Police Chief P.K. Johnson said the body of 52-year-old Rex Bethea was found at Clarks RV Park in the 1800 block of Alabama River Parkway around midnight. Johnson said someone contacted the police department and they responded to the scene.
Bethea was found unconscious and unresponsive. The fire department then arrived and pronounced him dead. Bethea's body has been turned over to the Alabama Department of Forensic Science for autopsy.
At this point, Johnson says foul play is not believed to be a factor as Bethea was known to have a "variety of health issues" that may have caused his death.
Johnson said evidence will be presented to an Elmore County grand jury and they will make the determination. Johnson said this is standard procedure when illness or natural death is not the cause of death.
