GREENVILLE, AL (WSFA) - The Greenville Police Department arrested several suspects after "multiple cars" were unlawfully entered and more Tuesday night.

According to Greenville Police Chief Justin Lovvorn, not only were the cars illegally entered, but they were also vandalized.

Lovvorn said after evidence was collected, several suspects were located. Three were arrested and confessed to the crimes.

The identities of the three arrested were not released.

In a tweet, Lovvorn said, "The Greenville Police Department cannot emphasize enough that you remove your keys from your vehicle and lock it every time you exit your vehicle no matter where you are. This is often all it takes to prevent a crime! Be vigilant and stay safe!"

More arrests are pending, according to Lovvorn. Lovvorn did not specify where the crimes took place.
