Public asked to help ALEA win 2018 Best Looking Cruiser contest

MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) - The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency once again needs your help as they compete against agencies across the country in this year's "Best Looking Cruiser" contest.

Alabama Troopers are competing against (How many) State and Highway Patrol agencies in the contest, sponsored by the America Association of State Troopers (AAST).

ALEA is asking voters to go to the AAST Facebook page and vote for Alabama's photo by liking the picture of the trooper Chevy Tahoe. Voting ends at 4 p.m. CT on July 25.

This year's photo features one of ALEA's Chevy Tahoes in front of Bryan Denny Stadium in Tuscaloosa.

ALEA officials say this photo, taken by a die-hard Auburn fan, means much more than the Auburn-Alabama rivalry.

"This is about coming together to beat the other states' cruiser pics and showing them the Alabama State Trooper Chevy Tahoe is No. 1!"

The winner of the contest will be presented with the "Best Looking Cruiser" award and will be featured on the cover of AAST's "America's Best Looking Trooper Cruisers 2018 Wall Calendar." The calendars will be available for purchase at a later date.

The net proceeds from calendar sales will benefit the American Association of State Troopers Foundation, which provides benefits to troopers and educational scholarships to children of state troopers.
