ANDALUSIA, AL (WSFA) - The Andalusia Police Department is investigating an assault that left a man in critical condition Tuesday night.
Officers responded to West Watson Street on an assault report around 9:45 p.m.
When they arrived, officers found the victim in serious condition. He was flown by helicopter to a critical care facility.
As of Wednesday morning, the victim, whose name has not been released, was upgraded to serious but stable condition.
Investigators said their investigation is ongoing and no information was available regarding a suspect or motive. However, the assault "appears to be an isolated incident between the victim and his assailant(s) and not a random act," the police department said.
Anyone with information on this case should call Investigator Cody Warren at the Andalusia Police Dept. at 334-222-1155.
