Multi-vehicle I-85 SB crash near interchange cleared, traffic moving

MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) - First responders have cleared a multi-vehicle crash from the roadway on Interstate 85 south near the I-65/85 interchange.
Traffic was backed up for several miles, at least to the Perry Hill Road exit (Exit 4), Friday afternoon as crews responded to the scene.
The exact number of vehicles involved is unclear nor is the cause known, but the Montgomery Police Department says any injuries were "minor".
There were also delays on I-65 northbound near the Northern Boulevard due to what appeared to be a disabled vehicle. Law enforcement blocked one lane while a wrecker removed it. The vehicle is gone and traffic in that area is moving again.
