MONTGOMERY COUNTY, AL (WSFA) - Interstate 65 southbound near Exit 11 at Atlanta Highway is back open after a two-vehicle crash caused it to close for several hours Saturday.
The crash was originally reported by the Alabama Department of Transportation. The crash caused several traffic issues and backups.
Both ALDOT and the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency said traffic had to be rerouted.
ALEA Cpl. Jess Thornton confirmed the location of the crash and said it was a crash between an overturned tractor trailer and a passenger vehicle.
Thornton said traffic had to be rerouted at Exit 16.
Thornton said there were injuries as a result of the crash but did not say how severe they were.
