1 dead after groups exchange gunfire in Enterprise

ENTERPRISE, AL (WSFA) - One person is dead after "two groups of individuals" fired shots at each other Monday afternoon in Enterprise, the Enterprise Police Department says.

Police responded to reports of a shooting in the 100 block of Dominey Street around 4:45 p.m.

First responders found one person, Birricus Malando Hill, 21, of Elba dead of a gunshot wound to the chest.

Detectives determined that the groups had an altercation in the area of Dominey and Pittman Street before multiple shots were fired in the street.

The Enterprise Police Department's Criminal Investigations Division (CID) is asking anyone with information on the shooting to call (334) 347-2222 or leave a tip at EnterprisePD.com.
