MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) - Outdoor plans are a go through the first half of the weekend-- that is, as long as you're prepared for the heat.

Dry and hot is the name of the game over the next few days. Rain chances stay at a steady 20% Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Of course, isolated showers will still pop up on radar, especially in the afternoon, but they'll dissipate fairly quickly. Overall, more of you won't feel a drop of rain, but all of you will feel the heat. Temperatures creep into the mid 90s each afternoon, with the upper 90s possible in places (especially on Friday and Saturday).

By the start of the next week, our weather changes to a more soggy and slightly cooler pattern. Models suggest unsettled weather will return, which will help ease the heat a bit as we wrap up July and head into August.
