MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) - Who murdered Atlanta-based rapper "Bambino Gold" and his friend Kendrick Stokes? That question has yet to be answered.
On Sunday, family and friends of Stokes gathered at his gravesite to celebrate his birthday. Stokes would have turned 31 this upcoming Monday.
"We came out today to do a balloon release for Kendrick and to lay a flower and a wreath. It is for the love that we have for him. We really miss him and we wanted to do something as a family to let the world know that we are standing together as one," said Stokes' mom Felicia Webster.
So, they gathered at his gravesite with balloons to celebrate his birthday.
"We will remain tougher than glue, even though we have one that is away from us, but he is here in our hearts," Webster said.
The two were shot to death. Their bodies were dumped along the side of the road in Macon County. They were in Montgomery visiting relatives in November.
"It is very hard for me but I have to continue to stand for him," Webster said.
Months have passed and still no answers. All Webster wants is closure and to put the case to rest.
